About the Role
We are seeking a seasoned Operational Excellence and Industrial Engineering leader responsible for driving Lean Manufacturing, APS, and IE strategies across TND sites.
The role focuses on establishing a strong Lean culture, enabling process excellence, and leading transformation initiatives aligned with global standards and Industry 4.0.
Key Responsibilities
Lean & Operational Excellence
Drive Lean Manufacturing strategies across TND sites
Implement Lean methodologies (5S, TPM, VSM, Kanban, etc.)
Lead continuous improvement initiatives and workshops (OPL, line balancing, visual management, etc.)
Identify and eliminate waste across processes
Improve operational performance and sustain Lean culture
Industrial Engineering
Support plants in applying IE principles and standards
Drive capacity planning and new product / process launches
Develop line concepts, layouts, and footprint optimization
Manage capex planning, approvals, and realization
Oversee automation and digitization initiatives
APS & Strategy Deployment
Act as SPOC for TND in global APS/IE initiatives
Define and deploy APS standards and best practices
Mentor APS/IE managers and plant teams
Ensure compliance with reporting and policy deployment
Leadership & Capability Building
Mentor and develop teams across plants
Lead cross-functional workshops and improvement projects
Build a strong culture of learning and collaboration
Deliverables
Implementation of Lean culture across plants
Achievement of TND scorecard targets
Cost savings aligned with budget
Successful new product and process launches
Improved efficiency and capacity utilization
Effective capex execution and project delivery
Progress toward Industry 4.0 and paperless operations
Experience & Skills
20+ years of experience in Operational Excellence / Lean Manufacturing
Strong expertise in IE, Lean, TPS, and manufacturing systems
Experience in automotive or auto ancillary industry preferred
Exposure to automation, digitization, and Industry 4.0
Strong leadership and cross-functional collaboration skills
Excellent communication and presentation abilities
Education & Certifications
BE / B.Tech in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering (preferred)
Lean certification from a reputed institute
Six Sigma Green Belt certification
Strong proficiency in MS Office tools
Knowledge of Industry 4.0 concepts
