Job Summary
The Advanced Specialist - Process Quality will act as a subject‑matter expert and hands‑on leader within assigned projects and process domains to ensure product safety, manufacturing quality and regulatory compliance. The role will lead process quality activities across the project lifecycle, provide technical guidance to cross‑functional teams and suppliers, and ensure robust verification, validation and continuous improvement practices are applied for new product introductions and process changes.
Key Responsibilities
Lead process quality input to project planning, design and process reviews to ensure alignment with safety, customer and regulatory requirements.
Manage complex decisions related to process design, control plans and manufacturing changes, balancing risk, cost and schedule trade‑offs.
Define, maintain and ensure traceability of process requirements, control plans, work instructions and inspection criteria between design, test and production documentation.
Drive risk assessment activities (e.g., PFMEA), facilitate cross‑functional mitigation actions and ensure effectiveness of implemented controls.
Develop, review and oversee process validation protocols, capability studies and production qualification activities to demonstrate sustained compliance and performance.
Support supplier quality and process capability assessments, lead technical reviews and resolve supplier‑related process issues.
Investigate process or quality deviations, lead structured root cause analysis and ensure timely corrective and preventive actions are implemented and tracked.
Monitor process quality metrics, prepare clear reports for project leadership and escalate technical and process risks when required.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on process stability, manufacturability and cost‑effectiveness; coach and engage colleagues to adopt improvements.
Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels to inspire commitment, ensure accountability and maintain focus on delivery of results.
Required Skills & Competencies
Strong background in process quality, manufacturing engineering or related disciplines within automotive or safety‑critical industries.
Demonstrated ability to manage complexity and make sound decisions under uncertainty.
Proven experience communicating effectively and engaging cross‑functional teams, suppliers and leaders to influence outcomes.
Track record of delivering results with a strong ownership mindset and ability to ensure accountability for actions and commitments.
Practical experience with risk assessment tools (PFMEA/DFMEA), SPC, capability studies and process validation methods.
Proficiency with MS Office tools; experience with PLM/ERP systems and quality or manufacturing tools is desirable.
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with practical experience in root cause analysis techniques.

Education
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Technical Science or a related discipline; relevant professional certifications (e.g., Six Sigma, CQE) are an advantage.
Experience
Typically 7+ years of relevant experience in process quality, manufacturing or quality engineering roles within product development, launch or production environments; automotive or safety‑critical product experience preferred.
